pain in the neck

New Year’s came together beautifully and surprised me. I wish I could say that 2008 has been rockin’ my world so far, but I have a neck injury that started as one of those “I slept funny last night” injuries.. but now has escalated into full on paralysis. Ok not really, but something like it. I can’t move my head and ergo can’t drive (save the asian woman jokes please), so I haven’t been to work in several days. I also haven’t really slept in several nights because lying down sends shooting pains up through the top of my head, so I’m exhausted and grumpy. So is Maddy. At the present moment (4:13am on the dot), I’m propped up on the couch with a heating pad strapped to the back of my head with an athletic sweatband, per Dr. Kevin’s patented method of treating strained necks. I got carried away and dozed for hours like this yesterday, which dried out my head and caused several nosebleeds this morning.. hooray 2008. I am so happy.

I think Liza Manelli is a dude.
