I had a really wonderful birthday. My family took me out to a dinner of the best Chinese food ever the night before (yum!). On the morning of, I had pancakes and crepes with friends, and then shopped myself silly with ubiquitous birthday discounts - it must be a sign that I’m getting old, that the item that excited me most was a bottle of sweet chili sauce *sigh*. The night brought delicious grilled meats as 20 of my closest friends gathered for Korean BBQ and karaoke - I wanted the boys to serenade me with “She” by Elvis Costello, but nobody knew it so I had to sing it to myself. Another sign that I’m old?

On my last birthday, I was feeling anxious about approaching the scary age without having my life in order. This year, I am at peace. I finally feel like an adult. Now, I wonder where I can buy a baby…. hahaha. Um, just kidding Mom..

My birthday serenade, and some delicious (and gorgeous!!) cupcakes that Miss Beth made for me! I have much better pictures of the cupcakes on my other camera, I’ll replace this shot a little later on… I just couldn’t wait to share how talented she was though
