Friends Charlie and Janet committed their lives to each other this weekend at a beautiful ceremony in Charlottesville. Janet was a lovely bride, bringing everyone to tears with her heartfelt vows. So happy for them *sniff*
Special touches at the wedding that uniquely reflect this bride and groom’s personalities include a reception on vineyard grounds (delicious sauvignon blanc!!), eclectic music DJ’d and mixed via a dude on a macbook, a VH1-style “Making Of” video documenting the preparation for the first dance, a polaroid guestbook, and wedding pies in lieu of the traditional wedding cake. Every bit as unique as those that know and love them would have expected!
I-am-so-SMRT moments from the weekend… I’m clearly running short on sleep!
Driving by a gas station convenience store marked Wi-Not Stop:
Me: WE NOT STOP!!
Shiney: Um, I think that’s why not stop..
Me: …. oh.
At a tapas dinner with friends:
Marissa: So what’s good here?
Me: The codpieces were delicious. I mean, the cod balls. …I mean… um..
Marissa: Fritters?
Me: THANK you!
