2007 woohooo
Hello hello, and happy new year! Had a bloody fantastic holiday break. I’ll get around to pictures some time this century.
Highlights:
- Hosted a Christmas party, featuring a gingerbread house decorating contest. Notable entries were “The G-Spot” (clearly marked), “The House of Gingerbread Horrors” (Santa got stabbed in the eye with a toothpick, and the house was ravaged by giant maneating gingerbread men), and “Thug Life 4EvAr” (home of Shaquanda and her pimp). Winner was Team Choo Choo. Picture to follow. Tasty berry martinis and spiced egg nog fueled the haze of decorating fervor.
- Followup party to kick the leftover ten gallons of egg nog.
- Listening to poor Kevin throw up all night long, the night prior to Christmas Eve.
- The greatest new years steak dinner ever, resulting in a room full of distended bellies of the starving African variety and a collective moan of heppynewyearrrunnnnngh. I busted up the myth that “black tie” and “stretchy” cannot co-exist. It can, my friends. It can.
- Kiran: What are these two round things? Wahahaha…
So my resolutions for 2007…
- Run the Honolulu Marathon in December. Or walk it at least. If I make it, period, it will be a great achievement for me.
- Eat in a healthy and reasonable fashion.
- Pilates my way into a very attractive and bendy form.
- Read at least one book per month, for fun.
- Organize personal website.
- Practice patience and kindness towards everyone.
- Hit 60. You either know what this means or you don’t.
- Get a manicure (<-- this is a last minute addition, while I sit here contemplating the year ahead and the state of my cuticles) :-)
I suppose I should do some work now. Bleh.
